National Cathedral School seeks a Chaplain who will be grounded in Episcopal traditions while supporting the spiritual life of the school community. This full-time one-year position includes responsibilities for teaching, worship, pastoral care, and academic advising, in collaboration with two other chaplains. Faculty are on campus from 7:45 am to approximately 4:00 pm. Additional responsibilities include participating in department, division and faculty meetings, holding regular office hours, as well as attending chapel, cathedral services, and assemblies. Faculty participate in the life of the school by supervising a study hall, sponsoring a student club, or leading an extracurricular program.
Salary and Benefits:
The full time salary for this position is $65,000-$140,000. The exact salary is determined based on education and teaching experience using a step scale. Benefits available include medical, dental, life insurance, a retirement plan with a school contribution, free parking or transit benefits, and lunch without charge, as well as support for professional development experiences. Additional stipends are available for coaching middle or upper school sports.
