    Role Description

    The Community Development Representative (CDR) plays a vital role in expanding the reach and impact of Project AccelerUs. This individual will lead outreach and recruitment efforts, combining strong prospecting skills with a growth-oriented and problem-solving mindset.

    Success in this role requires both technical sales capability and the interpersonal skills needed to build trust and generate opportunities. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating the challenges of cold outreach and thrives in environments that require persistence, adaptability, and initiative.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Grow the Project AccelerUs user base through targeted outreach and relationship building, including:
      • Consistent outbound prospecting and outreach to new schools and organizations
      • Generating new conversations and interest
      • Converting outreach into scheduled and completed meetings
      • Advancing opportunities through the pipeline toward commitment and launch
    • Research, design, and execute creative recruiting strategies tailored to diverse audiences (such as traditional schools, homeschool networks, and community and youth organizations)
    • Attend selected regional and national conferences and events to promote programs, gather insights, and build relationships (2-3 events a year)
    • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improvement and sustainable growth

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in outbound sales, inside sales, and lead generation
    • Strong skills in sales and business development
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to build and maintain community relationships
    • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills

    Education

    • High school diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred

    Experience Requirements

    • Prior experience in sales or business development roles required
    • Prior experience in related fields, such as nonprofit work or education, is a plus
    • Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) is a plus
