    Summary

    The San Diego Wellness Collaborative’s Neighborhood Network initiative is seeking a full-time Manager of Quality Training and Support. The Manager of Quality Training and Support will play a key role in supporting and strengthening our workforce by building and maintaining positive, productive relationships across the organization. This role is all about fostering open communication, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring that our workforce is equipped and empowered to achieve success. Our goal is to enhance service delivery and workforce engagement while prioritizing our commitment to the highest quality of client services.

    The Manager role will contribute significantly to achieving SDWC’s mission to build community-clinical linkages and collaboration for optimal health outcomes and health equity. All responsibilities serve to move the organization towards the SDWC vision where all communities we serve have a lifetime of health and well-being.

    The Manager will report to the Director of Quality and work closely with other senior leaders of the organization to drive workforce engagement, retention, and overall program quality. The Manager must commit to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion.

    Responsibilities

    Workforce Relations

    • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the workforce and organizational leadership
    • Conduct regular quality spot checks and performance reviews to ensure alignment with organizational and clinical standards, sharing findings with leadership to inform coaching, improvement plans, and strategic decision-making.
    • Serve as a point of contact for workforce inquiries and concerns, providing timely guidance, facilitating problem resolution, and escalating matters to appropriate stakeholders as needed.
    • Contribute to the development of inclusive policies and procedures related to workforce relations and support.
    • Host regular open forums, such as weekly Q&A sessions to provide real-time support, answer questions, and foster a culture of accessibility and responsiveness.
    • Serve on cross-functional committees, such as workforce summits, contributing clinical quality perspectives to planning discussions and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Respond to day-to-day workforce requests with professionalism and care, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution while maintaining strong internal partnerships.

    Workforce Support and Training

    • Coordinate, co-design, and continuously refine the workforce onboarding experience to ensure staff are well-prepared, confident, and connected from day one including managing access to learning management systems, training platforms, and case management tools.
    • Conduct 60-day performance reviews for new workforce members, delivering constructive feedback, identifying development opportunities, and documenting outcomes in partnership with the Director of Quality.
    • Manage and support facilitation of monthly professional development workshops for navigators and supervisors, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with workforce needs and organizational priorities.
    • Identify and develop relevant topics and materials that meet the evolving needs of the workforce.
    • Offer ongoing guidance and support to supervisors to strengthen team performance and improve service delivery.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to workforce success.

    Quality and Compliance

    • Streamline and standardize quality processes to support organizational scalability and sustainability.
    • Monitor workforce performance against agreed-upon targets and metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.
    • Ensure high levels of workforce satisfaction and engagement as a measure of organizational health and service quality.
    • Partner with the Director of Quality to design, implement, and monitor quality assurance initiatives that elevate service standards, enhance compliance, and support organizational scalability.
    • Support regular quality reviews and audits to ensure adherence to clinical, operational, and regulatory standards.
    • Support the development and management of quality review tools and surveys using digital platforms to manage both internal assessments and external stakeholder feedback.
    • Manage operational systems that support quality and accountability, including clinical consultation groups, reflective practice groups, and workforce review trackers, ensuring seamless coordination and appropriate escalation of concerns.
    • Track and analyze trends in quality performance, grievances, and workforce engagement, bringing findings to leadership and partner meetings to inform systemic improvements and collaborative solutions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, behavioral health, public health, or related field.
    • 5 years of progressive experience in a non-profit service environment.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated experience implementing new programs, trainings, or workforce initiatives.
    • Practical knowledge of the effects of trauma, social injustice, and persistent poverty, as well as experience working with people from diverse ethnic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to influence and motivate others.
    • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and delivering results in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
    • Proven ability to solve problems creatively, build lasting relationships, and lead through influence.
    • Must be an effective change agent, capable of supporting and guiding others toward organizational improvement.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Masters in Behavioral Health, Education, or related field
    • Pursuit of licensure in Behavioral Health or related field
    • Experience facilitating adult learning, workshops, or workforce development programming.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and CRM or database tools
    • Candidates with comparable clinical training, certification, or demonstrated progress toward licensure in a related field are encouraged to apply.

    Salary / Benefits

    This is an exempt full-time position. The annual salary range is $75,000-$95,000, depending on experience and market rates. SDWC offers a comprehensive benefits package (i.e.

    medical, dental, vision, and retirement).
