Requirements: Tuesday is “all staff in office” day. Flexibility to work in the office or remote on other days. Must be available to staff 1-2 shabbat services (Friday night or Saturday morning) per month, as well as major Jewish holidays.

Description
Romemu seeks an energetic, experienced fundraising professional who wants to work in a fast-paced-yet-spiritual, unique, post-denominational Jewish spiritual community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of successful development experience, including individual donor stewardship and solicitations of $10k + gifts.
- Strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, clear writing and critical thinking skills, and demonstrated organizational abilities.
- Adept at using technology, particularly Excel/Google sheets and a CRM system for moves management.
- Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with extreme attention to details, deadlines, and results.
- Poise, sophistication and intellectual depth when speaking with constituents..
- Ability to work well in a team setting, showing respect for all, emotional maturity, and a good sense of humor.

- Demonstrated commitment to Romemu’s mission, purpose, and values.
- Experience in the Jewish world preferred
- Experience and ease in working with a socio-economically, and politically diverse population.
Available to work occasional evenings and 1-2 Shabbats/month.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Major Gifts:
- Under direction of the Executive Director, manage a portfolio of 50 current major donors with personalized high-touch engagement strategies.
- Support Senior Rabbi, ED and Board in soliciting $1M+ in yearly unrestricted donations from current donors, as well as additional targeted grants.
- Develop and steward prospective new donors from congregational membership or institutions.
- Manage quarterly donor events and yearly Gala.
- Prepare proposals and solicitation letters for targeted asks.
- Diligently use fundraising CRM to track account moves management, including stewardship, solicitation, and acknowledgement processes.
- General Fundraising:
- Manage general fundraising / “community” campaign, including sponsorships of meals, services or programs, and the High Holy Day appeal.
- Work closely with admin, membership, database operations and communications staff to achieve all fundraising goals.
- Help launch planned giving/legacy campaign
