    Description

    The Community Liaison will help develop and nurture a reliable referral network in our North of Boston, MA community primarily based in Essex and Middlesex Counties. Use traditional marketing methods to create awareness and engagement within the community. As you help promote our current events, you will become familiar with our 15-year history and current social network while meeting strategic partners, sponsors, members, donors, staff, volunteers, and guests. You will join a leadership team comprised of: Office Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Garden Guru. Your work will be highly valued as we work together to actualize a 15-year strategic plan. The successful candidate for the Community Liaison will be available:

    • Weekly TEAM Meeting, Wednesday, 10am -12pm (onsite).
    • Weekly Thursday Social, Thursday, 1pm - 4pm (onsite).
    • Once-a-month, Check-in with Director (1:1; 1-hour; onsite or Zoom).
    • Once-a-month, 2nd weekend of each month (visit programs: Saturday morning Memory Cafe; Sunday Stroll, 10am - 2pm; and Garden Parties as scheduled).

    Job Responsibilities

    • Set and track success metrics for Rest-Stop-Ranch growth areas: foot traffic, volunteering, & fundraising.
    • Identify, secure, and foster reliable referral partners & sustaining sponsor relationships.
    • Provide on-site tours of the gardens and cottage for key community partners, such as Professional Health Care Workers, Social Workers, Activity Directors, Physical Therapists, Philanthropists, Foundation Representatives, Financial Partners & Sponsors, Rest-Stop-Ranch Members.
    • Educate the surrounding communities on the offered programs by calling, visiting sites and organizing presentations during business hours (Monday thru Friday).
    • Help manage financial and in-kind donations.
    • Research & facilitate media opportunities in magazines, newspapers, local TV, radio, etc.

The small team dynamic allows for leadership, personal & professional growth opportunities. 90 day probation period allows individual and the org to better understand role fit, and is a minimum for certain benefits turning on. No healthcare benefit. Unpaid vacation time includes 3 weeks towards end of summer, and 3 weeks mid-winter. Individuals may choose to work some hours during this unpaid vacation time.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Must be comfortable speaking & writing English. Other desired language competencies include Spanish & Portuguese.
