    About the role:

    We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced professional with a proven track record in identifying and seizing funding opportunities. In this role, you will proactively analyze the context of grants—primarily around public policies—and deliver actionable insights. You will be responsible for drafting high-quality proposals and grant papers to drive our growth, expansion, and internal development initiatives.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    1. Fundraising Strategy & Pipeline Management
    • Opportunity Identification: Identify and seize funding opportunities through vigilant donor research.
    • Pipeline Development: Generate and maintain a robust fundraising pipeline, staying attuned to potential application opportunities within the development sector.
    • Proposal Tracking: Coordinate with contributors to gather requirements and track proposal status. Use strong "number-crunching" skills to provide data-driven updates during review meetings.
    1. Proposal Development & Writing
    • Information Gathering: Systematically collect data by identifying key sources, coordinating submissions, and proactively addressing risks associated with proposals.
    • End-to-End Drafting: Develop comprehensive proposals that include project objectives, outcomes, deliverables, implementation methods, timelines, staffing, budgets, and evaluation metrics.
    • Quality Assurance: Write, revise, and edit drafts—including executive summaries and organization credentials—ensuring all submissions meet high proposal-writing standards and obtain necessary stakeholder approvals.
    1. Strategic Research & Documentation
    • Policy Context: Deeply understand the public policy landscape to ensure proposals are relevant and impactful.
    • Technical Documentation: Manage technical documentation and utilize layout/graphic design skills to create visually compelling and professional grant applications.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Education: Full-time Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Management, or Social Work.
    • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in grant writing, prospect research, and the development sector.
    • Communication: Excellent English communication and presentation abilities.
    • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
      • Highly skilled in "number crunching" and data analysis.
      • Proficient in technical documentation and layout/graphic design for proposals.
    • Project Management: Exceptional planning and organizational skills; ability to set priorities, manage timelines, and meet strict deadlines.
    • Independence: Ability to work proactively with little supervision and without the need for extensive support staff.
