Position Summary:
The Data Strategy & Analytics Lead is responsible for assisting leadership in driving strategic use of community held data and use of HMIS, PIT/HIC, LSA, and other publicly available data resources; continuously translating complex data into actionable insights through compelling visualizations and storytelling that support project and system level improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Produce and present dashboards, data visualizations, trend analyses, and executive presentations for leadership, partner agencies, and community stakeholders, translating HMIS, PIT/HIC, and system-level data into actionable recommendations.
- Present data findings, performance trends, and system-level recommendations to leadership, partner agencies, and community stakeholders to support strategic planning and data-informed decision-making.
- Research, evaluate, and implement AI tools and emerging technologies for reporting, analysis, documentation, and workflow automation while maintaining data privacy, security, and responsible-use standards.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, executive scorecards, and data visualizations using ClientTrack Data Explorer, Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, and similar analytics tools.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting workflows, documentation, data definitions, and reporting standards to improve efficiency, consistency, and access to reliable data.
- Maintain expertise in HUD HMIS Data Standards and federal reporting requirements and apply them to reporting, data validation, documentation, and system-level analysis.
- Lead development of data quality tools, reports, and visualizations in partnership with Information Systems Administration and Data Analyst to improve data completeness, consistency, accuracy, and compliance across partner agencies.
- Partner with the Director of CoC Planning and Director of Information Systems to produce PIT/HIC analyses, trend reports, and system-level data products that support understanding homelessness and system performance across Central Florida.
- Support data integration across Salesforce, HMIS, and other enterprise systems using APIs, MCP, A2A, and related technologies to maintain reliable data flows and recurring reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, validation, and data quality review.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs, executive scorecards, and data visualizations using business intelligence and reporting platforms.
- Experience with enterprise data systems, including reporting, data quality, governance, and integration processes.
- Experience using AI and automation tools to support reporting, analysis, documentation, and workflow improvement.
- Working knowledge of APIs, data integration, and automated reporting concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights through data storytelling, presentations, and visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple priorities, develop documentation, and provide training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ClientTrack Data Explorer, Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator credential or equivalent demonstrated Salesforce administration, reporting, data management, or integration experience.
- Experience with HMIS and HUD HMIS Data Standards, including federal reporting and data quality requirements.
- Experience with SQL, APIs, MCP, A2A, or other data integration and interoperability technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI platforms for data analysis, reporting, automation, and organizational workflows.
- Relevant certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, AI, or related technologies.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, use their hands to handle, operate, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be required to [lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Work Environment
This position operates in a remote and office-based environment. Employees will regularly interact with team members, external agencies, and funders, often addressing sensitive issues associated with homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and other barriers to housing stability. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and adaptability to dynamic situations. Work is generally completed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., generally Monday through Friday. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. Additional hours are occasionally required.
Conditions of Employment
- Provision of satisfactory references and completion of background investigation check
- Completion of a pre-employment drug screening as well as post-employment drug or alcohol tests upon reasonable suspicion of use
- Demonstrated computer literacy, which may be assessed through pre-employment testing.
- Completion of HSN new employee orientation and ALL required paperwork prior to reporting to work
- Compliance with all HSN Policies and Procedures.
