    (see how to apply below)

    Who We Are

Community Partners of Dallas (CPD) provides what abused and neglected children urgently need today to thrive tomorrow. This is accomplished by working closely with the amazing caseworkers of Dallas County’s child welfare system. We are the first step towards healing for approximately 20,000 children annually.

    About the Role

This exciting position will provide support to CPD’s I-Plan program. I-Plan helps youth and young adults with lived experience in the foster care system turn future plans into progress. By offering consistent, caring guidance and encouragement, I-Plan ensures young people aren’t navigating big decisions alone as they pursue education, training, military service, the workforce or other pathways.

    Essential Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Program and Participant Support: support the Program Director in coordinating and implementing individualized plans for participants, assist youth with practical needs related to adulthood readiness, track participant progress and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
    • Outings, Tours and Events Coordination: Coordinate logistics for program outings, workshops and events, including transportation, scheduling, supplies, and communication with participants
    • Program Administration: Administrative support to the Program Director, preparation of materials, participant communications and internal documentation.

At Community Partners of Dallas, we function as a team. With this comes an expectation that each employee will participate in both programmatic and fundraising initiatives that move our mission forward throughout the year. Planning, preparation and execution of these events and projects may fall outside of normal business hours and require employees to complete their responsibilities for the organization outside of normal business hours. Examples include, but are not limited to, the Chick Lit Luncheon (March), Change is Good (October), the Back-to-School Drive (summer), and our Holiday Toy Drive (projects spanning September through December).

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and participant‑specific details simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • High level of reliability, follow-through, and attention to detail.
    • Comfort working in systems/platforms for case management and documentation (or ability to learn quickly).
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries while building trusting relationships with youth.
    • Willingness to travel locally for site visits, court hearings, and program activities as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, human services, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
    • Experience working with youth, young adults, or individuals with complex needs, preferably within child welfare, education, or nonprofit settings also preferred.
    • Familiarity with foster care, child welfare systems, or transition-aged youth.
    • Ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve, and proactively follow up without constant direction.
    • Calm, flexible and responsive in dynamic environments.

In addition to a highly positive, excellence-driven and supportive work environment, Community Partners of Dallas offers the following:
