Salary: $60,000-65,000 annual salary, paid monthly

Position Description
The Senior Associate will support the Hub’s Director in working with the local building community to identify and overcome barriers to achieving high-performance buildings in the Washington, DC metropolitan region. The Senior Associate will contribute to creating and promoting resources, educational programming, blogs, newsletter content, and social media strategy. The Senior Associate will also assist with building stakeholder and community engagement, including but not limited to projects such as the Hub’s “Success with BEPS” program, a service that provides support to buildings subject to the DC BEPS. The Senior Associate will help plan in-person and virtual events hosted and co-hosted by the Hub, as well as attend and present at external events representing the Hub.
The Senior Associate will also support activities of IMT’s Building Performance Partnership (BPP) program, a national network of hubs serving their respective regions while benefitting from the existing resources and expertise of their peers. This program is designed to deliver policy compliance support and innovative leadership practices to real estate stakeholders in jurisdictions pursuing Building Performance Standards (BPS) and also for those jurisdictions that may not have BPS but have aggressive climate/decarbonization goals. The Building Innovation Hub is a founding member of the BPP.

This role requires hybrid work (approximately twice a week at office) and occasional domestic travel at less than 10% of their time. Applicants must be located within the Washington, DC metropolitan region at the time of employment. Only candidates with valid U.S. work authorization will be considered.
