    Description

    TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options. The Independence Coach provides one-on-one support to a male individual to promote independence, daily living skills, and community engagement. This role involves both home-based and community-based support, including transportation and skill-building activities.

    Schedule

    This is a full-time position from Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. $21/hr.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the individual with morning routines and preparation for work
    • Provide transportation to and from the TILL Farm
    • Act as a support for the individual and others during activities at the farm
    • Assist with errands, appointments, and community-based activities
    • Support development of independent living skills, including organization and daily task management
    • Encourage growth toward living independently in an apartment setting
    • Maintain a safe and supportive environment at all times
    • Implement appropriate safety care strategies as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
    • High School Diploma/GED is required.
    • Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle is required.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a 1:1 support setting.
    • Experience working with individuals with behavioral needs.
    • Good written and verbal skills to effectively communicate individual needs and objectives, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Dependable, patient, and community-oriented mindset.
