Who We Are:
Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ) is an international organization connecting Conservative/Masorti Jewish women. Women’s League provides services to tens of thousands of women in hundreds of women’s groups, and individual members throughout North America and internationally. Our mission is to engage, enrich, empower and unite our Conservative/Masorti members. We promote the sense of community, provide opportunities for learning and advocacy, and cultivate leaders. The Torah Fund Campaign is WLCJ’s philanthropic grassroots campaign, raising more than $112 million over the last eight decades to benefit the institutions of higher learning of the Conservative/Masorti movement worldwide.
Overview:
Reporting to the WLCJ Executive Director in collaboration with the Torah Fund Manager, the Torah Fund Administrative Assistant performs administrative and financial functions, as well as support of the operations and communications for the Torah Fund Campaign of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism from WLCJ’s Manhattan office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs administrative functions for Torah Fund Campaign including answering and routing phone calls and emails, data entry, reporting, incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assists WLCJ members and staff with queries, access to online systems and resources and updating of records for Torah Fund Campaign.
- Prepares donations to be deposited by the WLCJ accounting staff.
- Deposits donations as backup to WLCJ accounting staff.
- Prepares acknowledgement letters, emails, and other communications.
- Prepares and tracks bulk emails and maintains email lists.
- Packs, fulfills, and tracks orders for Torah Fund materials in collaboration with the Torah Fund Manager.
- Prints on-demand publications as needed for the Torah Fund Campaign.
- Assists with the move from the JTS office.
- Performs other tasks for Torah Fund Manager as required.
- Assists WLCJ staff with special projects and events.
- Attends WLCJ Triennial Convention, if requested.
Education and Qualifications:
- 2-year Associate degree preferred.
- Experience in clerical and administrative roles.
- Competence with Microsoft Office; database skills; graphic design skills a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Possesses the ability to stay organized, proactively track tasks as well as follow-up and be flexible and mutli-task while working with volunteers and staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
- Team player with a collaborative nature and sense of humor.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
We Offer:
- Salary: $52,000 - $57,000.
