    Position Summary

    Feel Good Action is searching for a Senior Development Associate to join our Development team and support ambitious fundraising goals.

    We seek a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can demonstrate collaboration and teamwork in a complex and fast-paced environment and can manage up, down, and laterally to ensure the success of the fundraising enterprise and the organization. This is a remote position.

    As a smaller nonprofit, the individual must be willing to engage in all facets of fundraising activities and understand the intersection of fundraising with communications, programming, and community development. The individual should be comfortable working individually and collaborating with a team.

    The Senior Development Associate reports to the Director of Development, and works closely with Executive Director, Finance and Program departments.

    Donor Operations

    • Manage EveryAction CRM data integrity, gift entry, pledge tracking, and timely acknowledgments; manage lists, segmentation, and tax receipts.
    • Implement and maintain technology solutions to manage all aspects of the fundraising cycle, including donor database optimization, reporting tools, and website optimization.
    • Produce pipeline reports, monthly dashboards, and post-event reports; track and report progress, goals, and issues to the Director of Development.

    Donor Stewardship

    • Support day-to-day donor communications, ensuring timely and professional responses.
    • Execute donor communications including appeals, updates, impact stories, and newsletters as directed by the Director of Development.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, serving as a point of contact for routine inquiries and fulfillment matters.
    • Support cultivation events and donor activations, including logistics coordination for small-scale donor gatherings and receptions.

    Grants & Compliance

    • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar; track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.
    • Compile attachments, budgets, outcomes data, and narrative reports for grant applications and funder reports.
    • Track restricted funds and ensure compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.
    • Monitor and ensure timely completion of all funder deliverables.

    Development Events Support

    • Coordinate logistics for donor-focused events, including preparation of event materials, guest lists, and run-of-show documents.
    • Support the execution of online and in-person fundraising events.
    • Prepare materials and logistics documents for speakers and guests at donor events.
    • Conduct post-event follow-up, attendee tracking, and data entry.

    Committee & Administrative Support

    • Support Development Committee of the Board, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting materials, minutes, and follow-up action items.
    • Support Board training and engagement on fundraising activities as directed by the Director of Development.
    • Prepare contact reports, briefing memos, and meeting summaries for donor and prospect interactions.
    • Maintain organized electronic files for all development activities.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of professional experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or nonprofit operations.
    • Hands-on experience with EveryAction CRM/database system and proficiency with Google Workspace.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities with consistent follow-through.
    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft compelling narratives, appeals, and acknowledgment letters.
    • Clear, professional interpersonal skills—comfortable communicating with donors, board members, and diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to problem-solve, anticipate challenges, and develop backup plans to keep work on track.
    • Experience with donation processing and database management is essential.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking metrics and preparing reports.
    • Comfort in a new, rapidly growing organization that is in the process of developing policies, procedures, and fundraising goals
    • Sound judgement and discretion.
    • An ability to work independently and in a collaborative setting.
    • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

    Preferred:

    • Proficiency with EveryAction CRM
    • Experience with grant writing or foundation relations
    • Experience supporting board or committee operations
    • Experience in civic engagement, voting rights, empowering young voters, digital media

    Position Details:

    • Reports to: Director of Development
    • Collaborates with: Executive Director, Finance, Communications, and Program departments
    • Location: This position is fully remote and open to employees in all U.S. locations,
    • Travel: Occasional travel for organization or flagship events (approximately 1–2 times per year)

    Work

    • This is a full-time, salaried, remote position with benefits including healthcare and time off.
    • Annual Compensation range is between $68,000 to $82,000 base salary with possible annual bonus.
