    Description

The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities is now hiring for their next team member for the position of Development & Communications Administrator in Greenville, SC.

The Mission: The mission of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities is to serve the artistically talented high school students of South Carolina through programs of pre-professional instruction in an environment of artistic and academic excellence. The school is a resource for all teachers and students in South Carolina.

At The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, we don’t just teach; we provide a pre-professional sanctuary of artistic and academic excellence. We believe in the "Whole Child," and we’re looking for a team member who views administrative excellence as an art form in itself.

Are you a mentor-minded professional who values mutual respect? Do you approach donor relations with the same "intellectual curiosity" we expect from our students? If you want your work to be the foundation upon which student dreams are built, we want to meet you!

You will be The Engine of Our Impact

As our primary Development engine, you’ll balance high-level data integrity with creative storytelling. You aren't just managing a database; you’re ensuring our donors feel like vital partners in our students' success.

    What You’ll Do:

Master the Data: Act as our Bloomarang platform lead, ensuring every gift is recorded with absolute integrity. You keep the pipeline clean so our leadership can dream big.

Tell the Story: Write our organizational newsletter and project-manage the Annual Report. You’ll scout our classrooms for "impact collateral"—the stories and data that show donors the tangible results of their support.

Provide The Personal Touch: Manage the daily acknowledgment cycle with hand-addressed envelopes and personalized notes. We believe in stewardship that feels human.

Lead the "boots on the ground" for fundraising events. From vendor coordination to guiding student ambassadors, you make our mission come to life in person.

Partner with the Director of Development on grant research and data collection to keep our collaborative learning environment thriving.

    Qualifications:

A CRM Expert: You have high-level proficiency in Bloomerang (or a similar donor database) and know that clean data is the key to a healthy foundation.

A Creative Communicator: You have a sharp eye for proofreading and a knack for drafting donor-centric copy. You’re comfortable using Canva or Publisher to make things look as professional as they read.

A Project Pro: You’re organized, tech-savvy (experience with Monday.com is a plus), and able to manage complex logistics without breaking a sweat.

Mission-Driven: You understand that 48–72 hour acknowledgment turnarounds and zero-error data entry aren't just tasks—they are ways we honor our community.

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
    • Experience in sales, storytelling, and customer/client engagement.
    • Previous Experience working with a non-profit organization is a plus

    Why Join Us?

You will be part of a team that values innovation, excellence, and service-learning. This is more than a desk job; it is a chance to serve as a statewide resource for the arts.
