Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be a team player who will manage and coordinate effective
fundraising and cultivation events, member and donor communications, stewardship, and
engagement and track donors’ activities in the fundraising database. This is a full-time position
with remote one day per week and reports to the Senior Director of Development
Responsibilities:

Special Events Management:
Manage and execute 3-4 annual fundraising Galas, along with other events such as
dinners, gallery openings, fashion shows, and donor cultivation events, both on-site and
off-site.
Coordinate all aspects of Galas, including research on honorees, working with event
leadership, generating sponsorships, tracking participation, and overseeing budgets.
Steer event logistics including vendor details, volunteer coordination and oversight,
seating arrangements, printing and audiovisual elements.
Member and Donor Communication & Stewardship:
Attend events to engage members and donors and recruit new ones.
Facilitate and execute exclusive events for donor cultivation and stewardship.
Respond to all membership inquiries.
Coordinate membership email and mail appeals and online annual fund and monthly
membership appeals working with the Development Coordinator
Prepare monthly membership online newsletters.
Draft event attendee communications including acknowledgments, reports, and
correspondence.
Collaborate with the Marketing team on event invitations, e-blasts, press attendance
and post-event social media efforts.
Research and create donor profiles, and assist in developing solicitation strategies.
Database Management & Gift Tracking:
Manage the Development Coordinator for gift entries for events and membership,
ensuring best practices for data entry.
Process, enter and track all trustee and major donor gifts.
Generate reports, pull lists, and analyze data related to event attendees and donations
Ensure data integrity and reconciliation with the Finance department.
Maintain acknowledgment processes in line with the database.
Administrative Support:
Assist the Development Consultant on putting together proposals and stewardship
letters
Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
3-5 or more years of nonprofit development experience, particularly in special events
Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in Chinese is a plus
Superior organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to
manage individual’s financial data with discretion
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with a diverse range of
constituents including Trustees, donors, members, and high-level prospects.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising databases and CRM
Systems
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range is $68,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
