    Position: Fundraising Events Specialist

    Reports to: AVP, Fundraising Events

    Position Status: Full-time, Contract

    Location: Remote

    Join our team at the Parkinson's Foundation (PF) and make a difference in the lives of people living with Parkinson's disease. At PF, we're dedicated to improving care, advancing research, and ultimately finding a cure for Parkinson's. As a Fundraising Events Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in driving fundraising success for our signature walk program supporting local events around the country.

    DESCRIPTION:

    This self-starting individual will work collaboratively with our, field fundraising staff, national walk team and other key stakeholders to ensure the success of the Parkinson’s Foundation community fundraising walk, Moving Day and Parkinson’s Revolution. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing expertise and leadership to help our chapters grow revenue, enhance volunteer relationships and deliver successful fundraising events.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      • Support in the planning and execution of assigned Peer-to-Peer (P2P) community fundraising events, managing revenue expectations in partnership with local team members.
      • Drive revenue and ensure consistency in communication during time of staff transition
      • Manage all aspects of events during staff transitions and vacancies
      • Balance multiple events and competing deadlines
      • Collaborate with event participants, sponsors, and community partners to maximize participation and achieve revenue goals.
      • Provide customer service to Chapter constituents and event participants, including support for registration, coaching, and stewardship.
      • Recruit new participants and constituents for Chapter-based fundraising events.
      • Create and solicit new sponsorship and partnership opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, corporations, and media prospects.
      • Oversee logistical details for Chapter events, including vendor partnerships, event permits, contracts, invoicing, and expense management.
      • Lead P2P event committees and motivate committee members to be actively engaged.
      • Oversee recruitment of event day volunteers for fundraising events.
      • Support management of corporate partner relationships, including benefit delivery and stewardship opportunities.
      • Track and report revenue and team numbers for the Chapter.
      • Transition relationships to new staff partners as chapters hire and/or grow

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant Peer-to-Peer fundraising experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound judgments.
    • Superior ability to influence and deliver results in a remote role.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented leader with strong organizational skills.
    • Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Willingness to learn and strive for excellence.
    • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.

    COMPENSATION:

    Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
