The Central Baltimore Partnership (CBP) is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative Assistant Director of Community Projects to join our growing team.
This is a mid-level, high-impact role within CBP’s Community Projects and Programs division, serving as a key operational partner to the Director of Community Projects and Programs. The Assistant Director will play a central role in strengthening the department’s grants management, performance tracking, and operational and evaluation infrastructure, ensuring that complex, multi-partner initiatives are effectively coordinated, evaluated, and aligned with organizational priorities.
A primary focus of this role will be advancing CBP’s work connected to Maryland’s ENOUGH Initiative (https://governor.maryland.gov/enough) and the organization’s GLOW and Community Health initiatives, including the development and management of evaluation systems, performance metrics, and funder compliance and relationships. The Assistant Director will help translate this work into clear, data-informed insights that support decision-making, strengthen partnerships, and demonstrate impact.
This role sits at the intersection of grants management, evaluation, and operations, with responsibility for building and managing systems that support both internal coordination and external accountability.
This role is designed to evolve over time as CBP’s social mobility and community health initiatives continue to grow. With several major funding opportunities on the horizon and key programs in early stages of development, the Assistant Director will play an important role in shaping systems, strengthening implementation, and taking on expanded leadership responsibilities as the department scales—in alignment with organizational priorities and individual strengths and interests.

In 2024, the Moore-Miller Administration spearheaded the passage of the Engaging Neighborhoods, Organizations, Unions, Governments, and Households (ENOUGH) Act, a law intended to tackle the root causes of poverty in Maryland by addressing inequities and working with impacted communities to develop local solutions.
Greenmount Life Opportunity & Wellness (GLOW) is a collaborative, multi-year initiative that focuses on improving the quality of life for all residents by meeting the needs of the most vulnerable residents who live along the historically disinvested Greenmount Avenue corridor – in the Barclay, East Baltimore Midway, Greenmount West, and Harwood neighborhoods.
