    Job Summary:

    First Parish in Lexington seeks a warm, flexible and creative Lead Teacher to oversee and organize Sunday morning Unitarian Universalist religious exploration programming for elementary levels.

    Unitarian Universalists are diverse in faith, ethnicity, history and spirituality, but aligned in our desire to make a difference for the good. We have a progressive track record of advocacy for love, justice, and peace. Our Lead RE Teacher delivers UU faith development programming to a varied group of elementary-aged children.

    This position requires 3 Sunday morning hours and 2 preparation hours during the week. This position typically has one Sunday off per month during the program year. The program year runs from mid-September through mid-June. The Lead Teacher must participate in occasional safety and curriculum trainings.
