    Description

    About Friendship Force International

Founded in 1977, Friendship Force International (FFI) is a global nonprofit dedicated to cultural exchange and citizen diplomacy. With more than 15,000 members across 60+ countries, FFI creates meaningful connections through home-stay exchanges, journeys, and community programs that bridge cultures and foster greater understanding. We are a small, fully remote team united by a deep commitment to our mission and to each other.

    Role Overview

FFI journeys — our travel exchanges and the heart of our mission — are guided by Regional Support Managers (RSMs), who collaborate closely with volunteer leaders across different countries to plan and manage transformative travel experiences.

As an RSM, you will serve as the primary point of contact between FFI headquarters and our clubs in your region, playing a vital role in unifying and synchronizing the membership experience across departments. Your success is reflected in the success of the team — ensuring smooth execution of FFI's business processes and programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Program Development — Design, promote, and schedule journey and travel exchange activities
    • Financial Management — Manage journey fees, budgets, contracts, and invoices; ensure timely resolution of financial matters
    • Recruitment — Support the recruitment of citizen ambassadors for travel exchanges
    • Logistics — Coordinate with travel providers to create and finalize itineraries
    • Progress Monitoring — Track journey planning and recruitment progress; evaluate program success post-completion
    • Problem-Solving — Identify challenges early, provide recommendations to maximize success, and minimize cancellations
    • Collaboration — Work closely with club leaders and coordinators to fill seats on existing journeys and create new travel exchange opportunities
    • Reporting — Provide regular updates on progress to the team and direct supervisor

    What We Offer

    • Flexible, fully remote schedule — 20 hrs/week with autonomy over when you work (up to 25 hrs during busy seasons)
    • A mission-driven team committed to global connection and citizen diplomacy
    • Collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment where your work makes a direct impact
    • Hourly rate of $25 USD/hour
