    How You’ll Make an Impact:

    Elevate the well-being of at-risk youth in the residential setting through meaningful therapeutic interventions. Join us in creating a supportive environment by offering individual, family, and group therapy. Your role will actively contribute to the program's philosophy, collaborating seamlessly with other departments. Let's make a difference together.

    In this Role, you will:

    • Be responsible for individual, family, and group therapy.
    • Be responsible for the implementation of each Youth’s Individual Treatment Plan.
    • Promote and support educational, employment, and treatment goals of the Youth.
    • Be responsible for timely and accurate communication within Program, i.e. ITPs, discharge-transfer summaries, log entries.
    • Be responsible for (or accessible to advise on) the use of de-escalation and behavior management techniques as outlined in CPI protocol.
    • Provide supervision of Youth and space (milieu/grounds as appropriate).
    • Be able to read, analyze, and interpret professional periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations.
    • Employ all aspects of de-escalation and behavior management techniques as outlined in CPI protocol.
    • Learn, align with, and execute the treatment philosophies, modalities and practices of the Agency.

    What we need from you:

    • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, correlated clinical field. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) required or obtained within six months of hire.(All eligibility requirements for exam completed upon hire)
    • CADC preferred
    • At least 2-3 years of clinical experience working with youth and young adults providing trauma-informed care, preferably in a residential clinical setting.
    • Ability to work a minimum of three nights per week, until at least 9:00 p.m.
    • Ability to work as a team member on an administrative and interdisciplinary level, and work within a team approach model.
    • A valid Illinois driver’s license, ability to drive a van, maintain a clear driving record, and retain driving approval through the Department of Children and Family Services.
    • Regular and predictable attendance.
    • Ability to work both independently and as an active team member.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Maturity and sensitivity to cultural and individual differences.
    • Ability to maintain professional demeanor while exercising judgment and discretion in work.
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and professional journals.
    • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to become proficient in other software packages and programs.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to attend required Agency trainings(including CPR/ First Aid and Crisis Prevention Institute Training)and maintain necessary training compliance. Flexibility to attend daytimetrainingsor sessions outside of regularly scheduled hours
    • Promote, support and role model the use of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) theory and practice for all co-workers in de-escalating situations.

    Basics Information / Schedule Details

    This job is a full-time position (40 hours per week). The schedule is Monday-Friday. Weekly hours are 3 days 9am-5pm and 2 nights. Evening shifts are: 11am-7pm,12pm-8pm, and 2pm-10pm.

    Pay range is between $66,500-$67,500
