POSITION: Regional Organizing Coordinator
STATUS: Full-time, permanent, exempt
LOCATION: Remote - Houston (Harris County)
SALARY: $55,000 Annually
ORGANIZATION: Planned Parenthood Texas Votes (PPTV) is the statewide advocacy and political arm of the Planned Parenthood affiliates in Texas. Planned Parenthood Texas Votes works to foster and preserve a social and political climate in Texas favorable to full reproductive health care access, through legislative advocacy, grassroots organizing, and electoral activity, to promote and protect the mission of local Planned Parenthood organizations in Texas.
The work at PPTV is fast-paced and deals with complex and high-priority matters related to the public policies and politics of reproductive health in Texas. Our programs range from talking to voters about abortion access to advocating at the state legislature, organizing advocates to rally in support of reproductive rights, and training the next generation of movement leaders. We imagine a world where having a uterus is not a pre-existing condition; where people can love who they love, be who they are, and find the care they need when they need it.
PPTV’s theory of change focuses on engaging and empowering young people, women, people of color, and LGBTQ folks. These demographics represent the majority of Planned Parenthood patients, a significant proportion of Texas’ changing population, those particularly impacted by attacks on reproductive health and rights, and who are also the least engaged and represented in elections, government and politics.
POSITION
The Organizing Coordinator (OC) is a key member of Planned Parenthood Texas Votes’ Organizing & Training team and plays a critical role in advancing PPTV’s statewide political and movement-building strategy at the regional level. This position reports to the Organizing & Training Director and works in close coordination with the Regional Political Manager to ensure organizing programs are tightly aligned with regional political priorities and statewide goals.
The Organizing Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating regional organizing programs that build volunteer leadership, expand community engagement, and support political and electoral objectives. This role leads day-to-day field execution, including volunteer recruitment, training, and deployment, while ensuring organizing tactics remain disciplined, data-informed, and responsive to shifting political conditions within the region.
Working across diverse communities and political environments, the OC translates strategy into action by implementing organizing programs that strengthen long-term power, support coalition efforts, and enable rapid response during key political moments. The Organizing Coordinator serves as a bridge between statewide organizing strategy and local execution, helping to build sustainable infrastructure that supports Planned Parenthood Texas Votes’ mission over time.
The position requires regular evening and weekend work, frequent regional travel, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, politically dynamic environment. This role requires strict adherence to confidentiality, compliance, and organizational guidelines related to political activity. This is a full-time, exempt position.
