    DIRECTOR, MEMBERSHIP AND EVENTS

    BUILDING OWNER’S AND MANAGER’S ASSOCIATION OF GREATER NEW YORK (BOMA NY)

    The Director, Membership and Events, is a key team member of a dynamic trade association in the commercial real estate industry. The Director is responsible for the administration and management of Membership and Events programming, under the direction of the Executive Director.

    DUTIES

    • Development and implementation of membership recruitment and retention strategies
    • Responsible for the maintenance of accurate membership records and generation of reports
    • Work with staff and accounting firm to ensure annual dues invoices are prepared, distributed and paid
    • Liaison to BOMA International and Mid-Atlantic Region with regard to membership roster and awards programs
    • Steward member and sponsor relationships through proactive, regular outreach
    • Produce annual membership directory
    • Plan, organize and coordinate networking events
    • Plan, organize and coordinate major annual events
    • Prepare and distribute invitations and other email communications to membership
    • Create and manage annual membership survey and analyze results
    • Prepare annual membership and events budgets and reconcile actuals
    • Staff liaison to various working committees
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s degree

    5 years of relevant professional experience

    Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills

    Prior experience and proficiency in working with a CRM or AMS

    Excellent relationship building and stewardship skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Ability to source, contract with and effectively work with consultants, vendors and event venues

    Proficiency with MS Office

    Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    SALARY RANGE

    $120,000- 130,000 annually depending upon experience
