Description
This position is with Leading Youth Through Empowerment (LYTE) through the Delaware AmeriCorps Program. The High School Success & College Access Specialist supports students in navigating high school toward successful postsecondary outcomes. This role includes college selection and application coaching, family financial aid support, and monitoring student progress to ensure readiness for college. The ideal candidate is student-focused, collaborative, and committed to increasing access to higher education.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coach students on aligning college selection and applications with long-term career goals.
- Guide families through FAFSA/CSS completion and financial aid navigation.
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to help students identify and pursue potential career pathways.
- Collaborate with staff to connect students with relevant internships, workshops, and career exploration opportunities.
