Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The CEO serves as the senior leader of MaxAbilities of York County, responsible for advancing the organization’s mission, leading strategic growth, ensuring operational excellence, funding stability, and cultivating a strong, person-centered culture. The CEO concurrently serves as the Executive Director for the York County Disabilities Foundation (YCDF)-(501-C3 fundraising entity to support the mission of MaxAbilities). The CEO is accountable for aligning vision, strategy, people and performance to deliver meaningful outcomes for the individuals and community supported.

Required Qualifications

In accordance with state requirements, the Board of Directors will employ a CEO with:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field
• At least three (3) years of experience working with individuals with special needs to include at least one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative role
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record as determined by the Board of Directors
• Must have written professional references from responsible individuals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Board Aligned Enhancements):

• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Significant executive leadership experience (master’s degree- five years in a special needs or related field; bachelor’s degree- 10 years in a special needs or related field)
• Managing teams of 300+ employees
• Overseeing budgets in the $20 million range
• Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors
• Familiarity with and experience in special needs service systems and environments.
