    • Take part in organization-building activities including recruitment, fundraising and staff training.

    Candidates must have:

    • At least two years of full-time experience in public interest advocacy, journalism, or policy analysis and development, OR
    • An advanced degree in a relevant field plus some experience in public interest advocacy, journalism, or policy analysis and development.

    The ideal candidate has:

    • Skills and creativity to distill information from a variety of sources into clear, powerful conclusions and communicate those conclusions in writing to decision-makers and the public.
    • Experience with designing and carrying out data analysis.
    • Experience in policy development or advocacy is strongly preferred, but not required.
    • Experience with geospatial analysis, database design and/or modeling is a strong plus.

    We evaluate candidates based on:

    • Academic record
    • Reasoning and research skills
    • Ability to pick up new topics quickly
    • Ability to function well under deadlines
    • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work well as part of a team
