Part Time Case Manager

Connect With a Wish is a non-profit organization in Virginia Beach, Va that is working to improve

the lives of youth and young adults in foster care from birth through age 25. Our Transition to

Independence program was created in 2023 to help aged out foster youth obtain affordable

housing through the FYI voucher program and support them with wrap-around case

management to ensure successful independent living.

We are hiring a part time case manager. This position will be 30 hours/week at $18/hour. There

will be an onboarding period of up to 3 months where the employee will be in the office for all 30

hours each week. After the onboarding period is complete, this position will transition to hybrid

with 60% of your time (21 hours) being in the office and 40% (14 hours) being remote work.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social work, human services,

psychology, or healthcare). If the applicant holds a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field, they

must have relevant experience with underserved and vulnerable populations. Preferred

experience in foster care, public assistance, subsidies, and/or social services.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: assisting with house visits, helping FYI voucher

recipients complete all pertinent paperwork, helping FYI voucher recipients connect with

community resources, assisting in crisis intervention, and helping FYI voucher recipients reach

short and long term goals.
