Description
Worker Power is hiring canvassers/signature gatherers! We are going door to door and heading to highly trafficked areas to engage registered voters on key issues regarding workers' rights and local development decisions. Will you join our team?
Qualifications:
The canvasser position is an entry-level position. No experience with canvassing is necessary. Successful applicants, however, will have the following characteristics:
- Punctual and reliable
- Good communication skills
- Outgoing personality
- Enjoys meeting and talking to people
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Committed to advancing immigrants’ rights and workers’ rights
- Interested in/passionate about voting and civic participation
Terms of Employment:
- The Community Canvasser position is a temporary position. The Community Canvasser position is available now until early August. Canvassers with interest and demonstrated capacity will also have the opportunity for promotion to leadership positions on our canvass team.
- Pay begins at $25/hr

Benefits:
- Paid time off
- Driving Stipend: $25 a shift . Must have a valid DL and Insurance.
- Data Stipend: $2/shift for use of personal device.
Schedule:
- Saturday: 9:30 AM - 6 PM
- Sunday - Wednesday: 11:30 AM - 8 PM
Thursday and Friday shifts may be available to make up for missed days. Canvassers must commit to at least 3 shifts per week. Full time availability preferred.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Garden Grove, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Languages:
- English, Spanish, and Vietnamese are all very helpful for this role!
