    Your Department

    The Center for Education Advocacy (CEA) operates at the intersection of Jewish advocacy and educational transformation, working to create inclusive K-12 and higher education spaces that are resilient against antisemitism. The Center focuses on three key areas: higher education and campus affairs, K-12 education and leadership development, and education policy and legislative advocacy. Using research-based approaches and long-term partnerships with administrators, faculty, students, and parents, the CEA develops policies and programs that strengthen both Jewish inclusion and democratic values in American education.

    Your Impact The K-12 Director will lead CEA's efforts to create inclusive and educational spaces that are resilient against antisemitism in K-12 settings across the United States. This role will oversee the development and implementation of strategies, programs, and resources to support K-12 educators, administrators, and students in addressing antisemitism and promoting inclusivity.

    Your Role

    • Develop and implement comprehensive national policy and strategies to address antisemitism, promote inclusivity, and elevate civic
    • education and democratic values in K-12 educational settings
    • Build and maintain relationships with key national stakeholders in the K-12 education sector
    • Serve as the national liaison and point of contact to Jewish organizations working in the K-12 education sector on larger community wide
    • education advocacy initiatives
    • Oversee and support the Director of K-12 Programs and Resources in the creation of guidance, workshops and training programs for K-12
    • educators and administrators.
    • Work with the Director of Community Programs and Initiatives to provide expert guidance to regional staff on K-12 initiatives and best
    • practices
    • Oversee the Director of K-12 Education, NY and DMV
    • Collaborate with the Director of Education Policy to ensure alignment and strategy between K-12 initiatives and broader policy goals
    • Work with the Director of Operations and Impact to develop metrics and evaluation processes to measure the impact of K-12 programs.
    • Act as a liaison and represent K-12 initiatives with lay leadership, regional offices, and community stakeholders

    Supervisory Role:

    • Oversees regional K-12 education leads
    • Director of K-12 Programs and Resources
    • Oversees all K-12 programs and content

    Medium office/team of 4-7

    Education, Training, and Experience

    • Master's degree in education, Jewish history, or related field
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in K-12 education, administration, or related field

    • Passion for the mission, goals, and objectives of AJC

    • Deep understanding of K-12 education landscape and issues related to antisemitism and inclusion

    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to build and maintain partnerships with diverse stakeholdersExperience developing and implementing educational programs for
    • students and professional development for faculty
    • Experience managing and mentoring staff

    Compensation

    The salary for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 depending on relevant experience and location.
