    • Normal in-person hours: Sundays, 8:30-11:30 AM (remaining hours flexible)

    About the Coordinator for Outreach and Hospitality

    This role leads a grant-funded initiative to strengthen NWCC’s visibility, outreach, community engagement, and public witness. The Coordinator develops programs, partnerships, and digital communication strategies that extend NWCC’s presence beyond Sunday worship.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Plan and implement community dialogues, educational events, mutual care groups, and hospitality initiatives.
    • Recruit, train, and support volunteers and lay facilitators.
    • Build partnerships with local organizations focused on inclusion, immigrant support, and community care.
    • Manage social media, website updates, and digital outreach.
    • Integrate UCC justice commitments into all programming.
    • Track participation, partnerships, and event metrics for grant reporting.
    • Foster spiritually safe, welcoming environments across all programs.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • Experience in project management, outreach, or event planning
    • Strong communication and storytelling skills
    • Ability to manage timelines and multiple tasks
    • Familiarity with social media and basic website content management
    • Alignment with NWCC’s inclusive, justice-centered mission

    Preferred:

    • Experience in faith-based or nonprofit settings
    • Background in communications, marketing, or organizing
    • Volunteer coordination experience
    • Ability to interpret engagement data
