The Center for Political Accountability is looking for a fundraiser to work with the premier NGO that is addressing corporate political spending. The Center focuses on the corporate money that underwrites the six, seven and eight figure contributions that have major impact. It is seeking a person with major gifts experience who can help raise support from individual donors and foundations.
Why corporate political spending? Because of the role of corporate dollars in reshaping state and national politics and policy and crippling our democracy, the rule of law and our ability to address critical societal issues. These include voting rights, climate change and women’s reproductive rights.
The Center is reshaping how companies engage in political spending. It follows an innovative strategy that circumvents a blocked political process to work directly with companies. It is recognized for making corporate political disclosure and accountability the norm. It is now focused on getting companies to commit to a framework for governing their spending and giving them an ethical compass. The Center’s work is even more important at this moment when political spending is enabling the attack on our democracy.
