    Description

    Hours: live in; 4 day on, three day off schedule Supervisor: Director of Operations

    Basic Job Description: Shall have the direct oversight of the Safe House with all its operations, policies and procedures, working in conjunction with Director of Operations with a caring, as well as servant – oriented disposition. This is a woman-to-woman ministry - we are looking for a female house manager to manage 6 residents. Our ministry serves women that have been human trafficked or coming out of prostitution, who are seeking healing from the trauma and abuse.

    Qualifications:

    • Good understanding of alcohol and drug addictions and/or lived experience. Must have at least 3 years clean and sober.
    • Understanding of trauma and its impact on an individual
    • Understanding of mental health diagnosis and its impact on an individual
    • Should have knowledge and understanding of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
    • Must have ability to live in an environment with women who are coming from street life, addictions and other emotional and mental challenges.
    • Good understanding of healthy boundaries is necessary.
    • Empathetic, but not a push over
    • Steady head in a crisis, able to think well in the moment
    • Able to manage conflict resolution
    • Sense of humor, able to relax and have fun
    • Reasonable domestic skills; cooking/cleaning, home management
    • This person should be self-directed, requiring minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to share the duties in the house with another manager – “tag teaming” the responsibilities.
    • Able to live at Engedi House, with no dependent children.
    • This person must be emotionally stable and mature, able to separate her needs from the residents.
    • Should be in a position to model healthy relationship skills
    • This person must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, committed to living a life honoring Him through biblical principles.
    • Should have compassion and a desire to see restoration, healing and salvation in the lives of the women at Engedi House and actively engage in that process.
