    Description

    Capital Camps & Retreat Center (CCRC) is seeking a creative, mission-driven Summer Videographer to help capture and tell the story of our camp community. This role is essential in documenting the energy, joy, Jewish identity-building, friendships, traditions, and transformational experiences that define life at Capital Camps & Retreat Center.

    The Summer Videographer will work closely with the Development & Campaign Strategy team to create compelling short-form and long-form video content for families, alumni, donors, social media, fundraising campaigns, and year-round marketing initiatives. This position will also play an important role in helping CCRC build a growing archive of video and storytelling assets in advance of future strategic communications and anniversary initiatives.

    We are looking for someone who is excited to immerse themselves in camp life, build relationships with campers and staff, and creatively showcase the everyday moments that make camp meaningful.

    Key Responsibilities

    Video Production & Storytelling

    • Capture high-quality video footage of daily camp life, including programs, special events, Shabbat, waterfront, arts, athletics, Israel programming, staff culture, and community traditions
    • Create engaging short-form videos for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
    • Produce recap and highlight videos throughout the summer for families, alumni, and community stakeholders
    • Capture B-roll footage for future fundraising, development, recruitment, and anniversary campaigns
    • Conduct occasional informal interviews with campers, staff, alumni, parents, and leadership team members
    • Assist in developing visual storytelling concepts aligned with CCRC’s communications and philanthropic priorities
    • This position reports to the Director of Campaign Strategy & Philanthropy

    Editing & Content Management

    • Edit video content on tight timelines for daily and weekly distribution
    • Organize and maintain digital footage libraries and archives throughout the summer
    • Collaborate with the Development & Communications team on branding, messaging, and storytelling priorities
    • Ensure all content reflects the values, tone, and mission of Capital Camps & Retreat Center
    • Assist in preparing footage and assets for year-round marketing and fundraising use

    Core Expectations & Engagement

    • Serve as a positive role model and member of the camp community
    • Work collaboratively with camp leadership and staff
    • Maintain awareness of camper privacy policies, photography/video permissions, and appropriate boundaries
    • Demonstrate professionalism by prioritizing a high-quality experience for all campers
    • Communicate effectively, build trust, and remain open to feedback
    • Exhibit creativity, adaptability, and initiative when faced with challenges
    • Serve as a leader and positive role model for campers of all ages

    Qualifications

    • Experience filming and editing short-form and/or long-form video content
    • Proficiency in video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, CapCut and Canva
    • Experience creating social media video content preferred
    • Strong storytelling instincts and ability to capture authentic moments
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
    • Positive attitude, flexibility, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills
    • Prior camp experience preferred but not required
    • Familiarity with Jewish camp culture and/or Jewish communal life is a plus
    • Portfolio or examples of previous work required

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Opportunity to build professional portfolio content in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
    • Salary range of $2,500 - $4,500 for full summer - commensurate with experience
    • Meals and housing provided while on-site in Waynesboro, PA

    Summer Dates

    • Camp Session Dates: June 21 – August 9
    • Full summer availability preferred

    Location: Hybrid position with 3–4 days per week onsite at Capital Camps & Retreat Center in Waynesboro, PA, with the opportunity to increase onsite presence based on interest, project needs, or camp programming priorities.
