    Description

    Strategy + Vision

    • Oversees the development of work plans to implement the programming/service components of JI’s strategic plan within the context of established guidelines and designated timeframes.
    • Maintains continuous lines of communication, informing and collaborating with the CEO on critical issues and providing regular reports that represent the organization’s progress in meeting its goals and implementing work plans and policies.
    • Represents the organization externally particularly to community program partners.
    • Develops and maintains positive relationships with statutory committee members and other community professionals through effective coordination, communication, and continuity.
    • Ensures effective management of JI’s advisory committees and the statutory committee meetings in consultation with the CEO.
    • Acts as liaison to State and Federal agencies concerning public policy, programs, appropriations, standards, grants and other matters as requested by the CEO.
    • Identifies strategic funding opportunities and partnerships that support building capacity to implement JI’s strategic plan.

    Program Management

    • Responsible to hire, oversee, organize, and evaluate the performance of program directors/managers.
    • Ensures program directors/managers appropriately hire, supervise and evaluate program staff.
    • Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
    • Ensures that staff members receive timely and appropriate training.
    • Mentors and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.
    • Works with the directors and managers to ensure that policies and procedures are followed by staff and that staff receives support and supervision appropriate to their needs.
    • Attends Management Team meetings and other internal meetings as necessary.
    • Ensures record-keeping systems for employee accrued time, case management, and client demographics. Ensures that monthly reports are provided for each program.

    Grant + Budget Support

    • Manages grant reporting and compliance. Ensure compliance with program grant requirements and assist with financial grant reporting.
    • Oversees subcontract and vendor contract management, including programmatic review and invoicing.
    • Reviews and prepares programmatic and budget reports as requested by the CEO.
    • Assists the CEO and JI management in planning and executing the annual budget process.
    • Assists in the development and drafting of proposals and/or contracts with funding or potential funding sources.
    • Oversees implementation of JI’s grant and contract deliverables.
    • Supports fiscal management and oversight to ensure that legal requirements are met and budgets are prepared and managed, within their requirements.
    • Supports data collection, analysis, evaluation and monitoring of grant funded programs.
    • Supports compliance with all Joint Initiatives, local, State, and Federal guidelines and reporting requirements.

    Other

    • Manages special JI projects, as requested by the CEO.
    • Maintains confidentiality of family-related information and data.
