Program Manager. Program: Immigration Legal Services & Autodefensa Immigration Advocacy Project.
Position Summary
The Autodefensa Immigration Advocacy Project is an empowerment initiative aimed at developing grassroots community leaders in South Santa Clara County. As the Immigration Advocacy Program Manager, you will oversee program staff in executing the project’s mission and activities. Your responsibilities include managing program reporting (quarterly and annual), providing staff training, and leading the implementation of organizing activities and legal services. Additionally, you will coordinate the integration of legal services with the Immigration Legal Services Team to ensure seamless support for community members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the Autodefensa Project curriculum in collaboration with support staff.
- Lead the recruitment of community advocates alongside immigration staff and other CARAS program teams.
- Train program staff on curriculum content, program procedures, and orientation.
- Schedule and facilitate regular team meetings, including immigration team members.
- Conduct staff evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Prepare all program reports and maintain accurate program data records.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to staff as needed.
- Participate in weekly agency leadership meetings (remotely).
- Maintain communication with program funders and partner organizations.
- Ensure the successful implementation of Autodefensa Project deliverables according to the established work plan.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
