    CaringKind is committed to providing person-centered, family-centered, and culturally responsive services to New Yorkers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Lead or co-lead support groups, educational workshops, and early-stage dementia programs, both in person and virtually.
    • Connect individuals and families with healthcare providers, social services, benefits, respite, legal and financial resources, and community supports.
    • Develop relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other partners serving Chinese-speaking communities.
    • Maintain timely documentation, referrals, and follow-up in CaringKind’s data systems.
    • Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement.

    Required Qualifications

    • Master’s degree preferred in social work, music/art therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, counseling, community health, therapeutic recreation, or a related field. Relevant bachelor’s-level education and experience will be considered.
    • 1–3 years of experience working with older adults, people living with dementia, family caregivers, or related social-service populations.
    • Strong cultural competency and understanding of Chinese-speaking older adults and families.
    • Experience with care consultation, case management, counseling, education, or group facilitation.
    • Knowledge of dementia, aging, home safety, adaptive living, or assistive technology preferred.
    • Strong communication, assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Comfortable providing services by telephone, videoconference, email, and in community settings.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce and other technology platforms preferred.

    Schedule: Primarily on-site and community-based, with some virtual services and occasional evenings or weekends.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Fluency in English and Mandarin required; Cantonese preferred.
