    The Foundation seeks an accounting specialist who will work under the direction of the accounts payable supervisor and is an integral part of the Finance team. As an accounting specialist, you will:

    • Review and process approved requests for payment, ensuring the requested amount is paid in accordance with Foundation policy
    • Review and process approved employee expense reports, ensuring the request is properly coded and to be in alignment with the chart of accounts
    • Reconcile the monthly corporate travel account
    • Establish and maintain vendor files in the accounting system to ensure demographic and tax data for tax reporting are complete and accurate
    • Knowledgeable and cross-trained in processing of grants payable processing
    • Process general payables, employee expense reporting, maintain vendor maintenance and general ledger accounting

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A high school diploma or any combination of education and experience that meets the requirements of the job
    • Three years of relevant accounting experience required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; knowledge of Concur software preferred
