    Bahaal Foundation is a non-profit organisation working to restore dignity, independence, and opportunity for persons with spinal cord injuries (SCI). We focus on holistic recovery, emotional well-being, livelihood pathways, and advocacy so people with disabilities can lead empowered and fulfilling lives.     Our work bridges the gap between hospital discharge and full community reintegration. Through rehabilitation support, psychosocial care, wheelchair skill training, and livelihood pathways, Bahaal Foundation enables individuals with SCI to rebuild their lives with confidence and agency. We work closely with families, caregivers, rehabilitation professionals, community institutions, and partners to create inclusive ecosystems of support.

    Job Summary:

    The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Bahaal Foundation’s programmes, particularly those related to rehabilitation, community outreach, and psychosocial support for persons with spinal cord injuries. The role requires strong coordination skills, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and the ability to work closely with beneficiaries, partners, and field teams.

    The coordinator will work closely with beneficiaries, families, hospitals, therapists, trainers, and partner organisations to ensure activities are delivered smoothly, inclusively, and with high quality. The role requires strong planning, communication, documentation, and follow-up skills, as well as sensitivity to disability and community realities. This is a hybrid role combining field visits, coordination meetings, and documentation/reporting.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate day-to-day implementation of project activities across field locations
    • Liaise with beneficiaries, caregivers, hospitals, rehabilitation professionals, schools/colleges, and partner organisations
    • Support planning, organising and execution of training programmes, workshops, and community sessions
    • Develop and maintain an active network and linkages with other like-minded organisations, institutions, and various stakeholders in the community and among the government
    • Identify vendors and procure office supplies and other related materials as per the directions of the Director
    • Coordinate inputs from beneficiaries, volunteers, and contribute to the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports related to the programs
    • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation (records and reports) with relevant photos/videos
    • Track project progress, outputs, and outcomes in line with organisational goals
    • Ensure periodic follow-up of beneficiaries identified and services rendered to
    • Develop and maintain good rapport with all beneficiaries and concerned stakeholders
    • Assist in monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection and analysis
    • Ensure activities are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with disability rights principles
    • Work closely with the core team to strengthen programme quality and reach

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields
    • Minimum 0–3 years of relevant experience in the development or non-profit sector (disability sector experience preferred)
    • Experience in community-based work, rehabilitation programmes, or health-related projects is an advantage
    • Strong organisational and coordination skills
    • Good documentation and report-writing ability
    • Ability to work empathetically with persons with disabilities and their families
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
    • Comfortable using MS Office/Google Workspace for documentation and reporting
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    Salary & Benefits:

    Annual CTC: ₹2,50,000 (₹2.5 LPA)

    Statutory benefits as per organisational policy

    Language Requirements:

    • Proficiency in English
    • Working knowledge of Kannada, Tulu, and Hindi
