Hotline Intake Paralegal

Legal Services of New Jersey, located in Edison, is a non-profit organization that provides legal services to low-income residents of New Jersey with civil legal problems. Many of our clients are facing eviction, threats of domestic violence or a variety of consumer injustices.

Clients can access our statewide legal hotline, which provides legal information, advice, and referral. This service is provided at no charge but applicants must be financially eligible to qualify. All callers are screened for income eligibility prior to receiving services.

As you will not be dealing with any legal issues no previous legal experience is needed; data entry skills and the ability to work a set schedule are required.

Comprehensive benefit package; 2026 salary scale for this position starts at $52,000, commensurate with skill, knowledge and experience; hybrid work option after 1 year.
