    Description

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Operations and Outreach Associate to support a company founder who holds leadership roles in both the finance and non-profit sectors. This is an on-site role for someone who can move fluidly between worlds: supporting donor outreach or event logistics for a vital community organization one day to sophisticated financial activities for a specialty lender the next. Our NYC offices are located in Washington Heights and Chelsea, and your work will take place in both locations.

Eileen M. Burke is the founder and Managing Partner of West End Capital and Advisory, a boutique financial firm with three decades of pioneering work in complex financing and middle market investing. A significant part of your role will be to support Eileen's service to The Actors Theatre Workshop, an award-winning NYC non-profit theatre and community center where she is a Founding Member and serves as Board Treasurer, actively supporting Artistic Director and Founder Thurman E. Scott and ATW's mission.

For over 35 years, ATW has used the transformative power of theatre to change the lives of New York City's children living in temporary housing, and help adults from all walks of life fulfill their potential through creative training.

This is a rare opportunity to learn from and be mentored by a senior leader who has spent decades at the heart of New York City's arts and finance communities. For the right candidate with leadership ability and initiative, there is genuine opportunity to grow into a broader managerial role over time.

    What You'll Do:

    • Manage calendars, scheduling, communications, and assist in day-to-day operations across both organizations, keeping multiple projects and deadlines moving forward
    • Serve as a trusted, discreet liaison between Eileen and her wide network of investors, clients, board members, donors, and community stakeholders
    • Draft and edit correspondence, board materials, investor communications, donor outreach, and grant-related documents
    • Support ATW fundraising, events, outreach campaigns, and grant applications, including coordinating logistics for meetings, board sessions, and special events
    • Maintain a database of contacts across both the financial and non-profit worlds
    • Track expenses and assist with financial, administrative, and personal tasks

You're a strong fit if you:

    • Have 3-6 years of experience in operations, executive support, or a related role
    • Are an excellent writer who can communicate across very different audiences
    • Are proactive, organized, discreet, and genuinely follow through
    • Care about community, the arts, and work that makes a real difference
    • Are energized, not daunted, by moving between a sophisticated financial environment and a vital non-profit

Non-profit experience is a strong plus. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

Compensation and Hours: $23-$26 per hour, depending on experience. 30-40 hours per week. Benefits include scheduled paid vacation.
