Salary Range: $80,000–$95,000

The Opportunity
Razom is seeking a thoughtful, highly organized, and systems-oriented Manager, People Operations to join its People & Culture team. This role will help shape and strengthen the employee experience for Razom’s U.S.-based team while supporting a collaborative global workforce dedicated to Ukraine’s future.
The Manager, People Operations will oversee the operational backbone of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, compliance, payroll and benefits coordination, HR systems, employee data, and office operations support. The role also partners closely with colleagues in Ukraine and manages Office Experience Managers in both New York City and Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Employee Experience
- Own and continuously improve employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and role changes
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions related to HR policies, systems, and processes
- Support recruiting operations, including offer letter preparation and approval coordination
- Help coordinate internal People & Culture communications, All Hands meetings, and employee updates
- Ensure employees have a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience from onboarding through transition
- Directly supervise two Office Experience Managers to support smooth office operations in NYC and DC
Compliance & HR Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and required documentation
- Manage background checks, employment verifications, contractor compliance, and HR records
- Help maintain employee handbooks, SOPs, and HR policies in partnership with global counterparts and external advisors
- Coordinate visa-related documentation and processes as needed
Systems, Payroll & Benefits
- Own and optimize HR systems, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee data management
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and operational efficiency
- Support compensation administration, salary benchmarking, and Open Enrollment
- Prepare organizational reporting and workforce data insights including headcount and attrition tracking
- Evaluate external vendors, software platforms, and service providers to support organizational effectiveness
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or related operational HR roles
- Strong understanding of U.S. employment compliance and employee lifecycle management
- Experience supporting payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and operational follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong judgment and discretion handling sensitive information
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across teams and regions
Preferred
- Experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, startup, or rapidly scaling environments
- Prior people management or team leadership experience
- Ukrainian language skills
- Experience using Asana or similar project management platforms
