This role combines strategy and execution, with responsibility for designing and managing programs, partnerships, and participation pathways that expand involvement in the BBA’s mission and build a stronger pipeline into membership, leadership, and service.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management, communication, and partnership-building skills, along with an understanding of the evolving needs of the legal profession. A J.D. or relevant legal industry experience is strongly preferred, though this is a non-practicing role.

    • Partner with law schools to create and implement outreach strategies, programs, and events that introduce students to the BBA, connect them with BBA members, and encourage early involvement in the legal community.
    • Develop and deliver new lawyer programming, including essentials education, mentoring, and career development initiatives, informed by feedback from early-career attorneys and legal employers.
    • Manage the full lifecycle of the Public Interested Leadership Program (PILP), including outreach, class selection, curriculum planning, program delivery, and alumni engagement.
    • Oversee BBA Networks as assigned (i.e. Government Lawyers, New Lawyers and Solo & Small Firm), including planning and supporting programs that connect members across practice areas and increase participation in the Association.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development to plan and deliver programs that advance the community and service dimensions of the BBA’s mission.
    • Recruit, support, and coordinate committees, advisory groups, program faculty, volunteers, and emerging leaders involved in the Association’s engagement and professional development work.
    • Monitor trends, challenges, and emerging issues affecting lawyers, especially newer lawyers, and use those insights to shape responsive programs, resources, and forums.
