PURPOSE: Primary responsibility for maintaining the Raiser’s Edge database for reporting, communications, fundraising campaigns, and events. Participate in other activities of the Development and Communications department related to donor relations, reconciling financial records, special events, and fundraising appeals.

LOCATION: Hybrid, with at least two days per week in-person at EMO’s central office at 245 S. Bancroft St., Portland, OR 97239.
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, non-exempt – 24 hours per week
BENEFITS: Wage range starts at $31.19 per hour. All regular employees (does not include on-call or temporary) are eligible for vacation, holidays, sick leave, 401(k) retirement plan, employee assistance program and employee trainings. Employees that work 18 hours per week or more, also receive medical insurance and dental insurance. Employees that work 20 hours per week or more receive disability insurance and life insurance.
EMO has an organization-wide Pay Equity Plan (PEP). This PEP provides standardized increases to base pay for staff who have technical skills or specialized training beyond the minimum qualifications for a job, significant prior experience in similar roles, language skills relevant to the position, and/or who hold academic/professional degrees or certifications related to the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, maintain, and customize Raiser’s Edge (RE) fund management software to:
- Record changes in address, phone, email and organizational leadership, including updates based on information from NCOA database reports.
- Generate accurate and timely reports and lists for direct mail, capital campaigns, events, and other staff requests.
- Track financial contributions and work with the finance department to reconcile financial reports.
- Train staff and manage user access to RE.
- Maintain constituent files related to fundraising, event planning, and community relations.
- Coordinate online donations, create internet forms and email receipts for online credit card processing through Blackbaud and PayPal.
- Create and manage event records using Greater Giving software (e.g., registration, auction items, donations, sponsorships, etc.) and import data to RE.
- Create and send development correspondence including donation/appeal requests, donation acknowledgement letters, and memorial and honorarium correspondence.
- Analyze and suggest improvements to business procedures related to donor management; stay informed on new changes in database software programs; and work with software programs to get solutions that cannot be resolved in-house.
- Contribute to technology troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS
Commitment to the mission, vision and ethics of EMO, and ability to maintain an understanding of the services provided by the programs and projects of EMO.
Required
- Two years of experience with Raiser’s Edge fund management software or equivalent relational database
- Intermediate proficiency with Windows, Office 365, and Google Suite.
- Technology troubleshooting skills, including ability to troubleshoot local area network systems and event software.
- Experience supporting event planning and event management.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle a variety of tasks while being flexible to adjust to changing needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience using Greater Giving event planning software.
- Knowledge of human services operations.
- Basic understanding of nonprofit organizational structures and functions.
- Knowledge and understanding of faith communities in Oregon.
