Description
Provides reception and clerical support for day-to-day office operations under the direction of the Office Manager.
- Answer and route calls; respond to routine inquiries; take messages.
- Operate standard office equipment (fax, scanner, copier, postage meter).
- Review records and provide routine information to referents, contractors, members, and visitors.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail.
- Assist with merchandise sales and inventory tracking.
- Assist with merchandise sales/inventory tracking and other assigned clerical duties.
Position Requirements:
- Follow verbal and written directions; seek clarification when needed.
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
- Work effectively with the Office Manager and staff on daily tasks and projects.
- Use good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and escalate urgent issues appropriately.
- Provide professional, courteous service; use tact and basic conflict-resolution skills.
- Be dependable, punctual, and flexible with changing priorities.
- Comply with a drug-free workplace.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Prior experience in reception, clerical, or customer service work preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
- Cash handling and inventory support experience a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional office administration coursework a plus.
Wages: The Office Receptionist is paid an hourly rate of $24.50 to $28.99 an hour. This is a part-time position (30 hours per week); schedule is set by the Business Representative based on office needs.
Job Conditions: Employment is subject to the terms and conditions specified by IATSE Local 7.
Benefits: Local 7 makes contributions to the Local 7 Health and Welfare Plan on behalf of the Office Receptionist upon qualification. Holidays, vacation, and sick days are specified by office policy.
