    Description

    The Trauma-Informed Community Development Coordinator (TICDC) leads trauma-informed community development with vision, clarity, and compassion. This role blends strategic thinking, professional development and performance management, with grounded, collaborative practice, centering the wisdom of those closest to the community.

    Responsibilities

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Directly supervise and support the Newtown Neighborhood Expert Team (NET), setting clear expectations and providing guidance for the day-to-day and strategic activities.
    • Maintain the overall process, structure, and format of Trauma-Informed Community Development (TICD) initiatives.
    • Coach and develop Neighborhood Experts as community leaders using strengths-based approaches and supportive professional development.
    • Cultivate a culture of learning, well-being, professionalism, and responsiveness.
    • Promote sustainable work habits, including self-care and burnout prevention.
    • Create accountable and disciplined approaches.

    Program & Impact Coordination

    • Track progress across TICD initiatives, assessing needs for training, materials, etc.
    • Develop and maintain training materials, tools, and best practices for staff.
    • Ensure program activities reflect the organizational mission and trauma-informed community development principles.
    • Oversee systems and data processes, e.g. imHealthy database, Results First data collection.
    • Collect, interpret, and use data to guide program improvements and communicate impact.

    Community Engagement

    • Build authentic, trusting relationships with residents, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Provide onsite support for community events, training, and other initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience managing, teaching, and working with diverse lived and work experience.
    • Ability to use technology effectively and teach others to do the same.
    • Experience with data collection processes and systems for coordinating tasks.

    Work Environment

    Hybrid role across home, office, and community settings. Evening and weekend hours are required weekly for events or meetings, making work hours flexible. Some travel throughout the community is expected.

    This is a full time exempt position.
