    Description

    Position Overview

    The Center seeks a part-time Technical Specialist with proven experience in digital operations, systems administration, and technical project coordination. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of the Center’s digital infrastructure, ensuring that platforms, registration systems, communications workflows, and event technologies operate reliably and efficiently.

    The Technical Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Center’s ongoing digital operations, while also leading critical infrastructure transitions associated with organizational rebranding and platform development.

    Key Responsibilities

    2026 Name Change (temp. project)

    • Run technical migration; monitor site errors and access; communicate issues, timeline, and progress for team continuity.
    • Configure SPF/DKIM/DMARC migration and monitor deliverability during transition.
    • Update CRM/database embeds and site forms to new domain; test submissions, confirmations, receipts, exports, and automated confirmations.
    • Lead and execute WP Engine/WordPress migration: setup primary/vanity domains, DNS, SSL, primary domain, database search/replace, and branded 404 page.
    • Post-launch monitoring—Search Console, sitemap, 404s/indexing, fix redirect gaps, caching issues, broken links.

    Systems Administration & Data Management

    • Maintain CRM systems, registration platforms, and internal databases
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper tagging across systems
    • Generate reports for leadership and finance (registrations, attendance, donor data)
    • Clean, format, and deliver data exports
    • Perform periodic audits to resolve inconsistencies

    Forms & Registration Systems

    • Create and configure forms for events, scholarships, and program needs
    • Provide embed codes and implementation guidance for webpages and communications
    • Test all forms for functionality, accessibility, and accurate data capture

    Platform & Systems Configuration

    • Configure Zoom sessions, webinars, and related integrations
    • Maintain SaaS tools and settings (Google Workspace, EveryAction, WooCommerce, Stripe, GoDaddy)
    • Ensure proper system connections between CRM, payment processors, and event platforms
    • Execute defined technical updates and support system testing

    Technical Support & Troubleshooting

    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to data, finance, and customer experience
    • Resolve issues involving registrations, payments, and system discrepancies
    • Maintain documentation for recurring processes and solutions

    Event Technology

    • Set up and maintain registration systems and ticketing structures for events
    • Provide technical support during live webinars and conferences
    • Coordinate with vendors or venue staff as needed for technical setup
    • Manage post-event recordings and file organization

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Communications, or related field—or equivalent professional experience
    • 3–5 years of experience in digital systems, technical operations, or related roles
    • Experience with CRM systems, registration platforms, and system integrations
    • Familiarity with tools such as Stripe, Zoom, and web content management systems
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
    • Clear written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in nonprofit, educational, or mission-driven organizations
    • Experience with livestreaming, hybrid events, or A/V coordination
    • Working knowledge of WordPress, DNS, and hosting environments

    Compensation & Details

    • Part-time (8–12 hours per week)
    • Compensation commensurate with experience
    • 1099 independent contractor position
    • Remote, with occasional in-person event support
