Myriad USA is a 501(c)(3) public charity that facilitates thoughtful, effective giving across borders. We work with individuals, families, corporations and foundations and help them support their favorite causes and organizations overseas. In addition, we partner with foreign nonprofits so they can receive tax-deductible gifts from U.S. donors, while saving the trouble and expense of setting up their own charity in the United States. Over the past 3 years, Myriad USA facilitated over $506 million in grants, providing much needed funding to hundreds of nonprofits across the globe, working in a broad diversity of fields. BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Myriad USA is looking for a Manager to support our growing portfolio and our partnerships with Africa and Middle East nonprofits and social enterprises. The Manager will play a key role in the further development of our activities in these regions. They will help expand our networks and build new relationships with local nonprofits and with individual and foundation donors with interest in these regions, including key members of their diasporas. The Manager will report to the Director, Africa & Middle East.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Relationship Management
- Support inquiries from current and prospective donors and nonprofit partners, in collaboration with the Director, Africa & Middle East.
- Review, manage, and follow-up on high touch inquiries for grantee partners based in Africa and the Middle East.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to support grantmaking needs as necessary.
Business Development, Network Building, and Database Management
- Identify and reach out to nonprofits based in Africa and the Middle East with high potential for fundraising in the United States, to promote our American friends fund services.
- Further develop our networks of individual and foundation donors with interest in the regions, including key members of the diasporas in the United States, in view of establishing longer-term relations and developing constructive partnerships.
- Participate in domestic and international conferences, online forums and other events, to raise our visibility in the broader philanthropic field and position Myriad USA as a trusted partner for giving across borders, in particular to Africa and the Middle East.
- Support our Spotlighting Local Innovators program, through which we spotlight some of our most creative partners from around the world, to connect them with philanthropists.
- Assist our corporate and family philanthropy teams in case of inquiries related to potential grants to Africa or the Middle East.
- Maintain our database of contacts, potential partners, and donors with interest in the regions, and ensure timely entry of opportunities and follow-ups.
- Carry out any other necessary tasks as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree, with five to seven years of work experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Africa and the African nonprofit sector. Knowledge and understanding of the Middle East is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen, engage, and persuade internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds at all levels.
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who can work independently, self-guide workflow, handle multiple tasks, stay organized, and thrive in a dynamic business environment.
- Capacity to formulate and implement innovative ideas and solutions.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management; experience with CRM a plus.
- Willingness to travel (3 to 5 domestic/international trips a year).
- Proficiency in French is a plus; Other foreign language skills like Portuguese or Arabic considered.
