We operate on a sliding scale model and partner with local medical providers to deliver integrated, whole-person care.

    Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and equity-centered Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our growing team. This role is designed for a clinician who brings strong therapeutic skills and a genuine commitment to serving marginalized communities and who has the interest and potential to grow into organizational leadership. As Wellness Transformed scales, this position offers a natural pathway toward a Clinical Director role for the right candidate.

    Core Responsibilities

    Clinical Practice

      • Provide individual, family, and relationship therapy and group counseling services using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
      • Carry a caseload reflective of organizational capacity and client need
      • Complete clinical documentation in a timely, thorough, and compliant manner (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries)
      • Participate in case consultation, peer review, and clinical supervision as applicable
      • Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold the ethical standards of your licensure board

    Community & Population Focus

      • Provide affirming care to gender diverse, LGBTQIA+, and other underserved clients
      • Conduct or support readiness assessments and letters of support for clients pursuing care, as clinically appropriate and within scope
      • Engage with clients using a culturally responsive, strengths-based framework

    Team & Organizational Participation

      • Collaborate with clinical and operations staff in a team-based care environment
      • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and organizational planning discussions

    Team & Organizational Participation (continued)

      • Contribute to the development of clinical policies, procedures, & quality improvement initiatives
      • Support onboarding and mentorship of new clinical staff over time

    Growth Pathway: Clinical Director

High-performing clinicians in this role may be considered for a Clinical Director designation as the organization grows. Clinical Director responsibilities would include:

      • Oversight of clinical quality, documentation standards, and licensure compliance across the team
      • Development and implementation of clinical supervision infrastructure
      • Leadership of clinical hiring, onboarding, and professional development
      • Serving as the primary liaison between clinical staff and the Executive Director
      • Supporting grant reporting related to clinical outcomes and program fidelity
      • Representing Wellness Transformed in external clinical partnerships

    Qualifications

    Required:

      • Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related clinical field
      • Active, unrestricted licensure in Illinois (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
      • Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
      • Demonstrated experience working with LGBTQIA+ and/or gender diverse populations
      • Commitment to affirming, equity-centered, trauma-informed care
      • Strong clinical documentation skills

    Preferred:

      • Experience with WPATH Standards of Care, readiness assessments, and letter writing
      • Experience in nonprofit, community mental health, or integrated care settings

      • Competitive salary commensurate with experience (base salary approx. $70,000)
      • Professional development support, including supervision hours toward advanced licensure where applicable
      • Flexible scheduling
      • Organizational investment in your growth toward leadership
