    Hours: 15 hours/week, Sept 2026 through June 2027; Wednesdays and Sundays required

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and grounded individual to join our team as a Part-Time Youth Associate. The ideal candidate brings a passion for working with youth, a commitment to ongoing spiritual and personal growth, and a desire to help shape a community where youth feel seen, heard, and empowered. As a Youth Associate, you will work closely with our Youth Minister and Director of Children, Youth, and Families (CYF) to plan, organize, and implement programs that support the spiritual, emotional, and social development of our youth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Youth Program Facilitation: Assists in the planning, organization, and implementation of youth activities and events, including youth group, Seekers (confirmation), outings, retreats, board game nights, etc. Create safe and engaging environments for youth to explore their faith, build relationships, and have fun.
    • Relationship Building: Foster meaningful relationships with youth through personal check-ins, small group activities, and relationship-building opportunities. Provide emotional and spiritual support to students as needed.
    • Faith Formation: Support the delivery of faith-based education and discussion that aligns with the values of our church. Help facilitate Seekers (Confirmation), small groups, and service projects that encourage youth to connect with their faith and the wider community including our local deanery, a regional network of nearby Episcopal churches partnering in ministry.
    • Event Planning: Assist in planning and organizing youth retreats, community outreach programs, trips, and other special events. Work with the CYF team to ensure events are inclusive, fun, and meaningful.
    • Communication: Maintain regular communication with CYF staff. Assist with social media content development for youth accounts and email communications as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for Youth Ministry: A genuine love for working with youth and a commitment to helping them grow in their faith and personal development.
    • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with youth, families, and volunteers in a way that is clear, open, and approachable.
    • Team Player: Collaborative spirit with a willingness to work with a diverse group of staff, volunteers, and youth. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexible and Adaptable: Comfort with working in an ever-changing environment. Ability to adapt to the needs and interests of youth, as well as the goals of the department.
    • Values: Understanding and alignment with the values of All Saints Church, with an emphasis on justice, inclusion, and diversity.
    • Experience with Youth: Previous experience working with youth in a church, school, or community setting as staff or volunteer is preferred.

    Additional Information:

    • Physical Requirements: Ability to participate in physical activities (e.g., games, group exercises) and occasional lifting of materials (up to 25 lbs).
