    Position Overview

    The Arkansas Abortion Support Network (AASN) seeks a strategic and results-driven Interim

    Executive Director (IED) to lead the organization during a time of major organization transition.

    AASN has established a clear two-year service roadmap and is entering a phase focused on

    operational strength, revenue growth, and long-term sustainability. The Interim Executive

    Director will provide executive leadership, strengthen internal systems, and drive fundraising

    strategy while ensuring uninterrupted program delivery.

    The Interim Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors and serves as the

    organization’s chief executive during the interim term.

    Key Responsibilities

    Executive Leadership & Operations

    • Provide steady, hands-on leadership across all programs.
    • Strengthen internal systems, workflows, and documentation practices.
    • Evaluate and streamline platforms, vendors, and administrative processes.
    • Identify cost efficiencies and ensure operational discipline.
    • Maintain clear reporting structures and organizational accountability.

    Fundraising & Revenue Growth (Primary Focus)

    • Lead development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
    • Oversee grant development, reporting, and compliance.
    • Expand individual and major donor engagement.
    • Strengthen revenue tracking and performance metrics.
    • Partner with the Board to build long-term funding sustainability.

    Ten-Year Anniversary Luncheon

    • Lead planning and execution of AASN’s Ten-Year Anniversary Luncheon.
    • Develop sponsorship strategy and revenue targets.
    • Oversee event messaging, logistics, and budget management.
    • Deliver measurable net revenue and community engagement outcomes.

    Team Leadership & Organizational Development

    • Supervise and support program and development managers.
    • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards.
    • Strengthen independent execution and professional growth across the team.
    • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven, and high-performing culture.
    • Provide end-of-term recommendations to the Board regarding organizational structure

    and leadership needs.

    Financial Oversight & Board Partnership

    • Partner with the CPA and Board to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Monitor budget performance and support cost management efforts.
    • Provide regular operational and fundraising updates to the Board.

    Qualifications

    • Proven nonprofit executive or senior leadership experience.
    • Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor development.
    • Experience strengthening operational systems and infrastructure.
    • Financial literacy and comfort working with budgets and reports.
    • Ability to lead teams through transition or growth phases.
    • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
