    Location: Hybrid - Alabama, California, Washington DC, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, NY, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington (Birmingham, AL; Los Angeles, CA; or New York City preferred)

    Reports to: Communications Director

    Salary Range: $70,000-88,000 based on relevant experience

    What You’ll Do

    Communications Strategy

    • Apply strategic thinking to develop communication materials that align with organizational goals.
    • Anticipate challenges and support effective decision-making and engagement.
    • Identify and evaluate emerging opportunities by analyzing stakeholder needs, organizational priorities, and external trends to inform communication initiatives and maximize impact.

    Digital Marketing Strategy

    • Create an organization-wide digital media strategy for the various JMA campaigns
    • Manage JMA’s primary digital channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X and other emerging platforms if applicable
    • Assist in developing and maintaining coordinated content calendars across social media, email, and campaign priorities to promote a consistent, diverse content pipeline
    • Plan and execute campaigns across social media, websites, email, search engines, and paid advertising (like Facebook and Instagram)
    • Understand target audiences, content positioning, and brand messaging.
    • Identify new tools JMA can use to move campaigns forward

    Content Creation and Communication

    • Update and maintain JMA websites. Support campaign websites, as needed.
    • Draft, edit, schedule, and publish platform-specific content across social media and digital channels
    • Create graphics, short-form videos, and other digital storytelling materials using tools such as Canva, Capcut and in-app editing tools
    • Coordinating with designers, writers, influencers, and other stakeholders.
    • Creating a training program for staff so they can begin “owning” parts of this work

    Campaign Digital Support

    • Work with campaign teams to support digital campaign plans and communications strategies
    • Assist in developing digital materials and tactics that support organizing, advocacy, and public education efforts
    • Support audience-targeted digital outreach, including targeted digital advertising campaigns
    • Support digital amplification of campaign milestones, reports, worker stories, events, and coalition actions
    • Coordinate with organizers and researchers to ensure digital content reflects campaign strategy and worker-centered storytelling
    • Coordinate with IT and admin teams on maintaining accurate inventories of current campaign digital channels

    Data Analysis and Performance Measurement

    • Use analytical tools to track engagement, traffic, conversions, and return on investment (ROI) related to advertisements and geofencing
    • Provide monthly analytics reporting and performance tracking of social media channels using Sprout Social
    • Interpret data to identify trends and improve campaign performance.
    • Making data-driven decisions.

    Organizational Responsibilities

    • Collaborate across departments to support organizational communications goals
    • Support digital communications needs for events, fundraising, coalition work, and organizational initiatives
    • Contribute to organizational conversations around emerging digital tools and platforms
    • Help maintain organized digital files, Drive folders, and account credential systems
    • Contribute to a collaborative team culture rooted in feedback, learning, and shared problem-solving
    • Contribute to JMA’s organizational development (participates in staff meeting planning committee, provides feedback for performance evaluations, joins at least 1 other planning committee or working group)

    What You Bring

    Core Experience

    • 5+ years of experience working on digital strategies for campaigns

    Key Skills & Strengths

    • Analytics and reporting experience. Ability to measure performance using tools such as Google Analytics and other tools. Ability to turn data into recommendations.
    • Creating and driving a content calendar. Understanding what content works best on different platforms and which audiences are on which platforms
    • Familiarity with social media management tools, content management systems, and advertising platforms
    • Experience with JMA platforms, including WordPress, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google Ads, Action Network, Salesforce, CANVA (or a similar tool)
    • Ability to recommend new platforms based on needs

    Additional Requirements

    • A deep commitment to social and economic justice, and to strengthening the rights of working people.
    • Ability to travel up to 4 times a year for annual staff retreat and to learn more about campaigns
    • Communicate clearly over the phone with reasonable accommodations
    • Routinely operate a laptop or computer

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary Range $70,000 - $88,000 (based on experience and location)
