    CV SUMMER PREP PROVIDENCE PROGRAM MANAGER

    Overview: College Visions (CV) empowers low-income first-generation students in Rhode Island to enroll in college, persist, and earn a degree. Founded in 2004, CV was piloted with 10 students and has grown to reach nearly 500 young people annually. 97% of participants enroll in college, and 71% earn a degree within 6 years, far surpassing local and national averages.     CV Summer Prep is a five-week college and career exploration program for rising 9th through 12th graders, hosted by College Visions in several Rhode Island cities. The program takes place on a college campus and provides students the opportunity to earn a stipend as they complete milestone assignments designed to support their personal and professional growth.

    College Visions is seeking a CV Summer Prep Providence Program Manager to oversee the Providence site of the program. Throughout the summer, students build critical academic, social, and career skills through a structured curriculum that includes career site visits, college tours, and other hands-on learning activities. The program helps students explore college pathways and careers while developing important life skills.

    Position Summary: The CV Summer Prep Providence Program Manager is a contract position (1099) based on-site in Providence, RI, and is responsible for leading the day-to-day implementation of the program at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). This includes ensuring strong execution of program activities and daily operations, supporting instructors, and student and parent engagement. The Program Manager is also responsible for setting clear expectations, fostering a positive culture, and addressing student issues as they arise to ensure the program runs smoothly and successfully.

    Management: The CV Summer Prep Program manager reports to College Vision’s Director of Programs. The CV Summer Prep Program Manager will supervise two program instructors.

    Hours:

    This position includes a flexible onboarding period and a full program schedule.

    • Week of June 22, 2026: Program Manager Onboarding - Two days (specific days TBD), 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
    • June 29 – July 2, 2026: CV Summer Prep All Staff Orientation - Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 2:00 pm.
    • July 6 - August 6, 2026: CV Summer Prep Program - On-site Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM. Please note the program's graduation is scheduled for the last day of the program, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 6 pm.

    Program Leadership

    • Coordinate and execute daily program activities, including student arrival, community-building, events, lunch, field trips, individual student meetings, and graduation day
    • Support and supervise CV Summer Prep Instructors, providing guidance and support with curriculum, instruction, classroom management, and student engagement
    • Maintain a positive, structured, and welcoming environment for all students
    • Address day-to-day student issues as they arise and communicate updates or concerns to the Director of Programs as needed
    • Establish high program expectations, including implementation of student behavior policies that ensure a welcoming, safe, and professional environment at all times.

    Data and Reporting

    • Maintain an accurate Program Tracker, including student attendance, student and parent engagement, staff and volunteer tracking, and assignment completion
    • Report behavior incidents and emergencies to CV’s Director of Programs and PPSD contact, and complete necessary documentation in a timely fashion
    • Ensure program documentation meets PPSD guidelines
    • Oversee student and parent feedback surveys

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
    • Valid RI teaching certification preferred (experience in Special Education and/or Multilingual Learners a plus)
    • Program management and youth development experience
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Supervision experience preferred
    • Strong commitment to CV’s mission
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Collaborative, energetic, positive, and flexible
    • Fluency in Spanish preferred
    • Employment contingent on a background check

    Salary: $9,200.
